Preparation:
1. Identify a website that is related to famous inventions throughout time.
2. Prepare a lesson plan and related worksheets pertaining to the topic of the day.
Procedure:
1. Teacher mentions a few items and asks the students if they know who the inventors are.
2. Teacher instructs students to view a video about the Wright brothers on Youtube.
3. Teacher explains to the students about inventions, inventors and some of the famous inventions throughout time.
4. Teacher instructs students to form groups of four and assign a computer to each group.
5. Teacher helps the students browse the website and read the articles about the inventors with the students.
6. Teacher distributes a crossword puzzle to each group and asks the groups to complete the puzzle in the time allocated.
7. Teacher distributes another handout with several questions about the inventors and their inventions that the students have read on the website. The second task is to be completed individually.
8. Teacher checks the answer with the students and fill in any missing details.
9. Teacher concludes the lesson.
Follow-up:
1.Teacher asks the students to read thoroughly all the inventions on the website and creatively invent a new invention.
2. Their inventions will be shared with the whole class in the form of individual presentation.
